Joining Peopleverse has been a profoundly transformative experience. My initial spark of interest came from witnessing Srini present HR work through a uniquely innovative lens – a perspective that resonated deeply with my Psychology background from Ashoka University.
The alignment was perfect: the focus on consulting within HR directly supported my aspiration to enter HR consulting post-master's. This internship offered the ideal opportunity to stay engaged while gaining crucial experience in my target field.
Exceptional Mentorship: Srini intuitively understood how to enable my success. His guidance was masterful – consistently available for support, yet deliberately giving me the space to develop my original thinking and problem-solving approaches. Rather than providing answers, he pointed me in the right direction and empowered me to tackle challenges independently. While this meant feeling lost about 80% of the time, the breakthrough moments (the other 20%), where everything clicked, were incredibly satisfying. This process forced me to draw on past experiences, deep research, and proactive conversations to forge my own path forward.
Engaging & Impactful Projects:
C-Ai Project: I thoroughly enjoyed developing my own system to assess candidate cultural and role fit. Creating a robust yet simple scoring system (using concepts like weighted averages) and practically applying psychological principles was both challenging and rewarding. I'm proud of this contribution and look forward to seeing the project progress.
Global Customer Project: I valued the authentic consulting experience – collaborating directly with clients, understanding their nuanced needs, and building a strong relationship. Crafting an intense client presentation taught me the critical skill of transforming complex data into a clear, compelling narrative for easy client understanding.
Valuable Exposure: Working alongside colleagues, integrating tools like APIs and Machine Learning into daily HR work was fascinating. It demystified these technologies and reinforced my belief that they are powerful enablers for HR professionals, not obstacles.
This internship provided the perfect environment to develop my unique approach to problem-solving: sufficiently rigorous to challenge me, yet offering the essential freedom to learn from mistakes. I leave Peopleverse with significantly enhanced skills, practical experience in HR consulting, and a reinforced passion for applying psychology and innovative thinking to the future of HR.
