Attention CHRO

As we forecasted in mid 2025, Agentic AI has begun to show up silently in large organisations, but will not replace the human side of HR; it will penetrate and expose where HR is still manual, fragmented, delayed and over-dependent on individual follow-up. 


The real question for CHROs is not "Which agent should you buy?” But which parts of HR work need speed, which need judgment, and which need human trust? The future of HR is not digital HR. It is decision-capable HR.


We have been strongly advising many organisations that are blindly on a buying spree for AI agents, as I expect 34-43% of agentic AI projects may be cancelled or shelved by mid-to-end 2027 because of escalating costs, unclear value, or inadequate risk controls. Also, in India and globally, there's something called "agent washing" happening, where ordinary chatbots are sold as AI agents, and companies are buying them, only to regret it after 1-2 months.
