Srini, how’s life as an entrepreneur?

I’m reminded of a powerful verse penned by the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M. Karunanidhi. He wrote:

“When the wind blows, both a paper and a crow will fly. But wait until the wind subsides.”

Such wisdom. A quiet but striking message for anyone riding the wave of borrowed momentum: Real strength shows not in the wind, but after it.  Peopleverse was born in 2022 in such stillness. With no template to follow, no trend to ride, no coordinates. No comparisons. Only conviction to our bold dream. Only questions that mattered—and the courage to seek answers beyond convention.

Focus on the Core, not on Frills
Focus on the Core, not on Frills

Our journey has never been about catching the tailwinds of industry trends. From day one, we’ve set out to build something no one had a reference for. We weren’t chasing trends. We were chasing truth—about people, performance, and what truly drives human potential inside organizations.

I’ve been asked many times by friends, former colleagues, even curious strangers:

“Srini, how’s life as an entrepreneur?”

When a real entrepreneur shares their dream, most people won’t quite get it—and that’s exactly how it should be. Because if everyone immediately understood it, it probably wouldn’t be bold enough to shift the ground beneath us.

The truth? When I started Peopleverse, My Co-Founder and I walked away from a well-settled role and a hefty paycheck. From my last employer to my friendly neighborhood grocer, the common sentiment was: “Why this risk?”

Thankfully, my family and a few well-wishers stood by me, even when they didn’t fully understand what Peopleverse was aiming to do. It wasn't a pivot. It wasn't even a version 2.0 of anything familiar. Like Peter Thiel describes in Zero to One, our dream was in the Zero category—unchartered, unreferenced, and unapologetically different. The early years were not about validation. They were about our bold vision.

In those early years, conversations with potential customers were some of the toughest I’ve ever had. Explaining our purpose was nerve-wracking. Some laughed openly. Many more smiled politely and moved on. As a bootstrapped venture—we continue to grow through our own revenue without external funding—

Only a handful believed in what we stood for—customers who saw beyond the conventional. They trusted in our vision that brain science and behavioral data models could radically shift the way work is understood and performance is shaped. And they’re still with us today and bringing us more.

Today, Peopleverse is helping many companies and institutions to unlock exactly that: not just change, not just frameworks, but transformational shifts rooted in neuro science research, driven by our advanced Machine Learning Algorithms, analytics, and real behavior change and making our customers pivot.

Even today, we’re still young. Yet our predictive models are delivering tremendous value —often outperforming in speed, depth, and insight.

To every entrepreneur, or even a young professional reading this: Entrepreneurship is not about becoming famous. It’s not about becoming a billionaire —though those may follow as by-products.

It is about pursuing a dream that demands you to shift your identity, let go of easy applause, and remain true to your intent. In the end, integrity is the engine. Everything else—fame, fortune, recognition— that follows a meaningful journey.

Peopleverse journey is a true inspiration. Kudos to both of you. Love the quote. It is very telling and a different version of the more cliched quote attributed to Warren Buffett .. "Only when the tide goes out do you discover who's been swimming naked"

Really eager to see the amazing future unfold for Peopleverse.

Best wishes
